Ankeny Appraisal Service was founded by John E. Lundstrom, CREA, CRA in 1966. 

Combined, our staff has over 50 years of Real Estate Appraising and Real Estate sales experience.  We offer specialists in all areas of Residential and Commercial Appraisals and have a License Real Estate Broker on our staff.

Since the onset there has been many individual appraiser's mentored by John throughout the years.  One of the first mentored by John was Jerry Z. Heston who went on to begin his own Commercial and Residential Real Estate Appraisal Company called Mid Iowa Appraisals and who has found his way back to Ankeny Appraisal Service as our certified Senior Commercial and Residential Real Estate Appraiser.  The last person that John mentored before retiring in 2009 from appraising was Dena Milhous of Ames, IA.  Dena is the owner of Accurate Appraisal Service in Ames, IA and is also on our staff as our certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser.  Dena is qualified to conduct FHA, Employee Relocation, and most all other residential appraisals.
